WILLIAM HARRISON DUNNING

William Harrison Dunning was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, Oct. 25, 1840, and died at his home in Guymon, Oklahoma, on Feb. 27, 1913. When he was 12 years old he came with his parents to Allamakee County, Iowa. In 1901 he moved with his family to Oklahoma.

He was married to Emmaline Jemison Nov. 29, 1862. To this union were born six children, two of whom died in infancy. His wife and four children - D. V. Dunning of Allamakee county, Iowa; Mrs. Emma Black and H. E. Dunning of Enid, Oklahoma; H. H. Dunning of Guymon, Oklahoma - are left to mourn the loss of a faithful husband and loving father.

He was converted in a protracted meeting in Guyman in February 1912 and joined the Christian church and died trusting in the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

The funeral was held from the M.E. church at Hardin, Iowa, Tuesday, March 4th, Rev. W. R. Mellott of this city officiating. Interment in the Hardin cemetery.
