Ida E. Burrow Erhardt

Funeral services were held, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. from First Baptist Church in Waukon for Mrs. David Erhardt, who died March 13, 1971 in a New Hartford Nursing Home. The Rev. Milton Dowden officiated and burial was in the Elgin Cemetery.

Ida E. Burrow was born March 10, 1884 in Elgin and was the daughter of Fred and Eureka Greibenow Burrow. She was educated in the Elgin Schools and March 10, 1903 married David Erhardt in Elgin. They farmed near Hawkeye until 1914 when they moved to a farm near Clermont. In 1947 they retired and made their home in Waukon.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Raymond of Elgin and Frank of Waterloo, and five daughters Mrs. Clara Kostman, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. John R. (Florence) Ashbacher, Waukon; Mrs. Herbert (Frances) Dreier, Postville, Mrs. Fay (Marion) Wickham, Rockford; and Mrs. Roland (Anna Mae) Newton, of Waterloo. Twenty-three grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Anna Fritz of Cedar Falls and four brothers, John of Postville, Will, Albert and August of Clermont also survive.

Three brothers, Herman, Fred and Charles and a sister Clara, a grandson and 6 great grandchildren preceded her in death.
