Mrs. FREDERICK (Jessie June Pearson) ERNST 1874-1964

Jessie June Ernst was born June 8, 1874 in Hardin, Iowa and died December 30, 1964 at the age of 90 years. She was the daughter of George and Julia Hunt Pearson.

She was married to Fred R. Ernst and they lived to celebrate their 67th anniversary together. Mr. Ernst passed away in Postville on January 15, 1957.

The deceased is survived by four sons, Leslie, Paul and Theodore, all of Long Beach, California, and Leo W. of St. Paul, Minnesota; three grandchildren and several great grandchildren, all of California.

Her sisters were Georgia Saudey, Bertha Reincke, Mattie Dunning, Katherine Burlingame; one brother, Chester Pearson; and half sisters and brothers, Fannie, Libbie and Victor, who are all deceased. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews and other relatives.

She lived in various places including California, St. Paul, but her early and later years were spent in the Postville area.

Funeral services were held at Schutte Funeral Home on January 2, 1:30 p.m., with the Rev. Walter T. Martin, pastor of the Presbyterian Church in charge. Burial was in the Luana cemetery.
