Hold Last Rites For Mary Flack
Funeral services for Mary A. Flack of Postville were held Thursday, Oct. 19, 1978 at 10:30 a.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. Rev. William Tjaden officiated.
Mary Alvina Flack, daughter of John L. and Ruth Dundee Bray, was born November 14, 1898 on a farm in Ludlow Township, Allamakee County, Iowa. She died October 16, 1978 at Community Memorial Hospital, Postville.
She was married to Harold Flack on August 25, 1920 at Waukon, Iowa. To this union one son and four daughters were born. They farmed in Allamakee county until 1938 when they moved to Postville.
Preceding her in death were: two brothers, Lloyd and Raymond Bray; and three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Julana) McNally, Mrs. Norman (Beulah) Starkey and Mrs. Roy (Mabel) Hammond.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Leslie Flack, Castalia; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Jones and Mrs. Charlotte Newman, both of Postville; Mrs. Harold (Betty) Lundt, Decorah, and Mrs. Delbert (Joyce) Reincke, Evansdale; 33 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; one brother, Lawrence Bray, Monona; and three sisters, Mrs. Ruby Ewing, Waukon, Mrs. Albert (Myrtle) Bertleson, Ossian and Mrs. Ervin (Dorothy) Peterson, Decorah.
