HAROLD ROBERT FLACK

Funeral services for Harold Flack were held Friday Nov. 18, 1983 at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville. The Rev Morey officiated. The Schutte Funeral Service, Postville, was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Postville Cemetery.

Harold Robert Flack, son of Robert Reece and Eunice Mae (Jenkins) Flack was born Oct. 13, 1899 in Allamakee County. He died Nov. 16, 1983 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon.

He attended the rural schools of Allamakee County. On Aug. 25, 1920 he married to Mary Alvina Bray in Waukon. To this union one son and 4 daughters were born. They farmed in Allamakee County until 1938, when they moved to Postville. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad until his retirement Nov. 15, 1963. He had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon for the past 6 months.

He was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville.

He is preceded in death by his wife, who died October 16, 1978; a brother, Benjamin, in infancy; two sisters, Gladys Brown and Lulu Arnold; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Surviving are a son, Leslie, Castalia; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian Jones and Mrs. Charlotte Newman, Postville; Mrs. Harold (Betty) Lundt, Decorah; and Mrs. Delbert (Joyce) Reincke of Evansdale; 33 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jesse Hawkins, Marion and Orpha Ellefson, Charles City.
