ANNA GROTEGUT
The funeral services for Anna Grotegut of Ludlow were held at West Salem church in Ludlow on Monday afternoon, [August 13, 1928] with Rev. Stuebbe officiating.
Anna Grotegut was born near Timothy, Wisconsin, on April 11, 1870, at which place she was confirmed when she had grown to young womanhood.
About 44 years ago she came with her parents [Simon Henrich Grotegut and Wilhelmina Caroline Goeke] to Frankville, Iowa, where the family established their home and have resided since. After the passing of her parents, Anna made her home with her brothers and sisters.
At the time of her passing she was aged 57 years, 3 months and 29 days old. The mourners are: Mrs. Henry [Sophia] Hager, and Fred Grotegut of Frankville; Simon Grotegut, Mrs. Tomae [Lydia], and Mrs. Fred [Henrietta] Becker, of Waukon; Mrs. [Henry, (Marie Mary)] Biedermeier of Timothy, Wis.; Mrs. Will [Lena] Snitker, Mrs. Fred [Amelia] Bechtel and Henry Grotegut of the Ludlow community.
Notes: One sister, Clara Anna Wilhelmina (Grotegut) Snitker preceded Anna in death and her parents: Simon on May 4, 1899, and Wilhelmina on December 19, 1907. They are all buried at the Salem Reformed Church Cemetery.
