Mrs. WALTER (Lydia King) KRUEGER 1897-1985

Lydia Krueger, 88, of New Albin, died Tuesday, March 5, 1985 in LaCrosse Lutheran Hospital.

She was born on October 6, 1896 in Union township, rural Caledonia, to Fred and Bertha (Meyer) King.

She married Walter Krueger on Dec. 2, 1914 in New Albin. They farmed in the New Albin area. He died in 1941.

She was a member of the Ladies Fellowship of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Albin.

Surviving is a daughter, Evelyn Plagge, of New Albin; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mamie Waters of New Albin.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother.

Services were held on Friday, March 8, at 2 p.m. at St. Peter's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Richard Waters officiated and burial was in the Wheatland Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Robert Waters, Charles Fetketter, Walter Schuttemeier, Donald Neuman, Craig Iverson and Sam Wurm.

The Haugen-Roble funeral home of Caledonia was in charge of arrangements.
