Mrs. CHARLES (Ada P. {Burnham} Adams) KROM
Ada Pearl (Burnham) Krom, 88, of Waukon, died April 9, 1979 at the Good Samaritan Center, Waukon.
Ada Krom was born May 21, 1890 on a farm near Monona, the daughter of Charles and Luella (Halsey) Burnham.
She attended the "Red School" near Volney and was baptized into, and a member of, the Methodist Church in Volney.
She married Orrin Adams December 9, 1908 and to this union two children were born: one daughter, Reva and one son, Harold.
She later married Charles Krom May 2, 1934 and they farmed north of Luana until moving to Waukon in 1966.
Survivors include: her husband Charles; one daughter, Mrs. Cloy (Reva) Lawson, Postville; one son, Harold Adams, Gladstone,Ore.; nine grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 11 at 1:30 p.m. in the Martin Funeral Chapel in Waukon. The Rev. Carroll Brown officiated.
Burial was in Smithfield Cemetery, near Volney.
