She died at the Community Memorial Hospital on July 6, 1962 at the age of 50 years, five months and 10 days.

She was educated in the schools of Duluth, Minnesota and graduated from high school at Staples, Minnesota. Following graduation she entered nurses' training at the University of Minnesota and the General Hospital in Minneapolis. She worked at the Postville Community Hospital for a number of years, and later at the Postville Farmer's Telephone Company.

She was married to James Lennon on August 4, 1940. They made their home in the Postville and Clermont area. She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mary Louise; three brothers, John Haining of Minneapolis, the Rev. Roscoe Haining of Appleton, Minnesota and Dr. Roger Haining of Bothell, Washington; four sisters, Hope, Mrs. Keith Clark of Waukon, Miriam, Mrs. Orville Meyer of Minneapolis, Barbara, Mrs. Michael Ryan of Tujunga, California and Lois, Mrs. Thomas Lind of Tacoma, Washington and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Postville on Monday, July 9, at 2:00 with the Rev. Charles E. Witt, officiating. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Note: Bruce Haining gives this correction: "This is my aunt, beloved older sister to my father Roscoe. Dad and I went to visit her in the hospital just a few days before she died. She and her husband Jim had an adopted daughter, Mary. They all lived on their farm near Postville and we visited them on a trip to the states from the Panama Canal Zone, our home...Wilma was born in Brookston [not Brookstone]. My dad was born in a log cabin there too, probably the same one. Uncle Roger and my cousin Dave and my dad and I visited the site of the log cabin back in 1960. Some rotten logs still remained, but mostly it was termite digestion."
