EDMUND R. MEYER

Funeral services were held Saturday, November 20, 1965, 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church in Postville for Edmund Meyer, 71, who passed away at Cedar Rapids on November 17, 1965. The Rev. George Carlson, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, was in charge of the rites. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.

Edmund R. Meyer was born May 27, 1894; he was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville. On January 14, 1919 he was married to Clara Kamp. To this union were born two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Evelyn) Duwe of Luana and Mrs. Donald (Darlene) Gotto of Cedar Rapids.

Mr. Meyer lived in the Postville and Waukon vicinity until about 12 years ago when he moved to Cedar Rapids where he worked for seven years and then retired. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids.

Survivors include his two daughters; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Damond of Postville; one sister, Mrs. Bertha Schroeder of St. Petersburg, Florida.
