Mrs. HARRY (Mahala Dahms) Willman MOON

Final rites were held Sunday from the Schutte Funeral Home to St. Paul's Lutheran Church for Mrs. Harry Moon of Monona who passed away last Thursday following a lingering illness. Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig was in charge of the rites.

Mahala Dahms Moon, daughter of Henry Dahms and Minnie Meyer Dahms, was born May 17, 1888, in Grand Meadow township, Clayton county and departed this life, after a lingering period of declining health, on August 23, 1951, at Postville, aged 63 years.

Mrs. Moon was received into active membership in the Lutheran Church, in the St. Paul's congregation of Postville. Mrs. Moon was united in marriage with Herman Willman in the fall of 1908. Mr. Willman departed this life in 1919. February 21, 1929, Mrs. Moon was united in marriage with Harry Moon of Monona. Mr. Moon departed this life in 1931.

Mrs. Moon spent her entire life, with the exception of two years spent in Monona, as a resident of this community. She served for approximately 10 years in the employ of the local telephone company. Mrs. Moon was a member of St. Paul's and also of the Women of the Church of the congregation.

Left to mourn her passing are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Backhaus and Mrs. Mary Heins, and one brother, Edward Dahms, all of Postville, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to her two husbands, Mrs. Moon was preceded in death by her parents; seven brothers and sisters: Henry Dahms, Louis Dahms, Fred Dahms, Mrs. Reka Schultz, Emma Dahms, William Dahms, and a sister in infancy.
