Miss Hattie M. Weihe received word Saturday of the death, February 17, of Miss Ella Gertrude Puhl in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, following a several months illness. She formerly lived in Postville and was the daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. M. O. Puhl. The family lived here in 1905 and 1906 when Rev. Puhl was Pastor at St.Paul's Lutheran Church. They resided in Washington, D. C. for many years, where Miss Puhl served as secretary in various government departments, until she retired a few years ago, moving to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Funeral services were held February 20 and burial was in Greenwood cemetery, Lancaster, beside her parents. Only relatives in Germany survive.
