Mrs. William Roffman
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral home and at 2:00 p.m. at the Rossville church for Mrs. William Roffman who passed away after being in ill health for sometime. The rites were in charge of Rev. F. R. Ludwig of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Postville. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.
She was born to Thomas and Mary Fish, May 30, 1891, in Missouri. Her marriage to William Roffman took place October 21, 1909.
Besides her husband three daughters, Mrs. Charles Ewing, Jr. of Waukon, Mrs. Carl Smith and Mrs. Ralph Nagel, both of Monona and two sons, Glen of Postville and Leonard of Luana, survive. A daughter, Viola, preceded her in death.
Note: Mrs. Roffman came to Postville as a small girl. Also surviving her was a sister, Mrs. Lydia Vickery of Waukon and two brothers, Peter of Waterville and Jess of Luana and 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
