Funeral services are being held this afternoon, 1:30, at the Schutte Funeral Home and 2:00 at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church for Charles F. Reincke who passed away suddenly Monday at his home. The Rev. C. E. Witt will be in charge of the rites. Burial will be in the Postville cemetery.

Charles R. Reincke was born in Germany on August 18, 1879, the son of Carl Reincke and his wife Marie Hanna Schultz Reincke. He was baptized in Germany and came to this country with his parents at the age of three years.

Except for a few brief periods he has lived continuously in the Postville area. He was confirmed in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church on April 7, 1895.

He was married to Bertha Louise Pearson on December 10, 1903. To this union were born two children, Delmar Arthur of Cedar Rapids and Dorothy, Mrs. Fred Groth, of Postville. His wife, Bertha, passed away on January 6, 1921.

He was married to Clara Stromsodt of Decorah at the First Lutheran Church in Decorah on March 28, 1943. He passed away February 24, 1958 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Clara; his two children; two sisters, Mrs. Amelia Willman and Mrs. Mary Krogman; one brother, Fred Reincke; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha; two sisters, Mrs. Eda Meyer and Mrs. Anna Saueressig; and one brother, Arthur Reincke. Mr. Reincke farmed in the Postville area for a number of years, operated a restaurant, and owned and operated the Hotel in Postville for many years. He was active in community life, serving as mayor of Postville, and took an active part in work of his church.
