The death of Frank Russell,66, well know contractor, occurred Thursday evening at the Decorah hospital, where he received care following a stroke a week or more ago.

He was born to Mr. and Mrs. James Russell, farmers near Forest Mills January 25, 1881. That vicinity was his home until about 27 years ago when Waukon became the family home.

Two sons and two sisters survive, his wife, the former Edith Bender, preceding him in death on September 20, 1946.

Those left to mourn are Lawrence and Clarence Russell of Waukon, Mrs. Ernest Tishauser, Dubuque, and Mrs. Enid Diamond of Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Russell was an active member of the Modern Woodman Lodge.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Missionary Alliance Chapel, conducted by Rev. Dahl of Mason City.

Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Chester Evans, Allen Wahl, Bert Stafford, Nels Nelson, Albert Evans, Burt Bulman.
