DOUBLE RITES TO BE TODAY FOR MR. AND MRS. SCHNUELLE

Double funeral services are being held today for Mr. and Mrs. Simon Schnuelle at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig officiating. Services will be held from Schutte Funeral home to the church at 2:00 p.m.

Mrs. Schnuelle passed away Saturday after a brief illness and was followed in death by Mr. Schnuelle on Monday morning.

JOINT OBITUARIES

Elizabeth Heins Schnuelle, daughter of Fred Heins and Dora Schultz Heins, was born December 8, 1876 in Grand Meadow township, and departed this life, after a brief illness, on March 18, 1950, at her home in Post township, aged 73 years.

Mrs. Schnuelle was a member of St. Paul's congregation of Postville.

She was united in marriage with Simon Schnuelle of Postville on September 29, 1903. To this union 10 children were born, nine of whom survive the passing of their mother.

Mrs. Schnuelle spent her entire life as a resident of this community.

Simon Schnuelle, son of Conrad Schnuelle and Minnie Nagel Schnuelle, was born on March 28, 1873 at Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and departed this life March 20, 1950 at his home in Post township, age 76 years.

Mr. Schnuelle was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church.

Mr. Schnuelle spent the last 59 years of his life as a resident of this community.

Mr. and Mrs. Schnuelle were united in marriage on September 29, 1903. To this union ten children were born, nine of whom survive the passing of their parents.

Left to mourn their passing are nine children: Clara Schnuelle at home, William Schnuelle of Postville, Laura (Mrs. Louis Ihde) of Castalia, Marie (Mrs. Elmer Ihde) of Ossian, Fritz Schnuelle of Castalia, Annie Schnuelle at home, Clarence Schnuelle of Harpers Ferry, Vila (Mrs. Arthur Hermann) of Postville, and Lydia at home; one sister, Mrs. Emma Wlindling of Kilo, Wisconsin.

Mr. Schnuelle was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; five sisters and three brothers; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Schnuelle was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Colvin; three brothers: Charles Heins, August Heins, and William Heins; two sisters: Martha Frederick and Ella Heins; and two grandchildren.
