Rites Held For Mrs. Louis F. Schroeder

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church for Mrs. Lena Schroeder, who passed away suddenly at her home on November 1, 1968.

Burial rites were conducted by Rev. Richard B. Housman, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment was at the Postville Cemetery.

Mrs. Lena Behrens Schroeder, daughter of Henry and Lena Behrens, was born on June 24, 1892 and departed this life on November 1, 1968 at the age of 76 years.

Mrs. Schroeder was married to Louis F. Schroeder on July 4, 1911 by the late Rev. J. Gass. To this union eight children were born, all of who survive. The children are: Elliott Schroeder of Sumner, Merlin Schroeder of Decorah, Palmer Schroeder, Lowell Schroeder and Norman Schroeder, all of Cedar Rapids, Dale Schroeder, Ileta (Mrs. Harry Tyler) and June (Mrs. Fred Palmquist) all of Postville. She is survived by twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Schroeder was received into active membership of St. Paul Lutheran Church on April 15, 1906 and was an honor Roll member of the Lutheran Church Women.
