Ludwig Schroeder, 84 year old pioneer, passed away Wednesday at the home of his son, Henry and funeral services will be held Saturday.

Notes: Ludwig Schroeder is buried in the Postville Cemetery. He was born in 1829 in northern Germany, near the Dutch border. He was married three times. Nothing is known of his first wife other than that she is buried in Germany. His second wife was Wilhelmina Wernhardt and is also buried in Germany. His third wife was Wilhelmina Klocke and she is buried in the Postville Cemetery. She died April 10, 1928. He had seven children with the third wife and six with the second wife.
