Grant was inducted into the Postville Bowling Hall of Fame, and in 1991 he won the State Senior Citizen Bowling Championship. Following high school, Grant played on the town baseball team, so its no surprise he became a diehard Cubs fan. It was one of his favorite pastimes to watch his grandchildren participate in sports.
