Services Held For Arlene Schultz
Funeral services for Arlene Schultz were held Saturday, April 17, 1982 at 11:30 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lime Springs, with Rev. Joel Krueger officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs.
Arlene Loretta Stegen Schultz, the daughter of Anton and Esther (Peterson) Stegen, was born in Estherville, Iowa, August 18, 1939 and died at her home April 15, 1982. She was baptized in the Lutheran Church at Dolliver, Iowa.
Arlene graduated from Lime Springs High School in 1959 and from Area I Vocational School in Calmar in 1963. She had a long career in nursing, working at Cresco Hospital, Rutlinger Care Center, Cresco and as charge aide at the Good Samaritan Center, Postville.
On Oct. 15, 1976 she was married to Donald Schultz at the Baptist Church in Cresco. They made their home on the husband's farm near Postville.
Preceding her in death were a brother and sister in infancy.
Survivors include two sons from a previous marriage, James and Randy Monthy, her husband and two step-children, Doran and Jody Schultz, her parents, Anton and Esther Stegen and one brother, Anton A. Stegen and one niece Erica Stegen of Rochester, Minn.
