Mrs. Rufus Seitz Dies Suddenly At Home

Mrs. Rufus Seitz, 71, died suddenly in her home north of Monona on Sunday evening, Nov. 12, 1972.

Surviving are her husband, Rufus, three sons, Earl of Elgin, Louis of Farmersburg, and Dale of Clermont; 2 daughters, Mrs. Claude (Anna Mae) Moose, and Mrs. Larry (Sarah) Butikofer, Elgin; 27 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Kolowinski, Puyallup, Washington, 2 brothers, Dave Cowell, Monona, and Harley, Postville.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 p.m. in the Monona United Methodist Church, with Rev. Raymond Pacholke officiating.

Pallbearers were George Cowell, John Seitz, Robert Garms, Rod Freilinger, James Cowell, Everett McKee, Harold Rose and Delbert Rose.

Honorary pallbearers were Charles Fick, Paul Strelow, George Smith, Forrest Henderson and Vern Haberichter.

Mrs. Ivon J. Schultz was the organist and Mrs. Thomas James the soloist.

Burial was in the Smithfield Cemetery.
