Funeral services for Mabel Stock, 93, were held Sunday, Feb. 8, 1981, at 2 p.m. at the Schutte Funeral Home in Postville. The Rev. Robert W. Lueck officiated. Burial was in the Frankville Cemetery, rural Postville.

Mabel Stock, daughter of Thomas and Belle (Clark) Waters, was born Dec. 20, 1887 near Postville. She died Feb. 4 at a hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. She had attended a rural school and later taught at a school in the area.

July 14, 1915 she was married to John Stock at Postville. They moved to Sioux City where they have made their home. She was a member of the first Presbyterian Church in Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers; Harry and Fred Waters; and a daughter Dorothea. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. D. M. (Roberta) Pendleton and Mrs. L. S. (Marian) Cole, both of Sioux City, Iowa; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rubie Albeck of Davenport, Iowa and Mrs. R. L. (Florence) Jeglum of Bradenton, Fla.
