Keith C. Waters

Keith Crawford Waters was born to Fred and Stella Crawford Waters on September 19, 1917 in Postville, Iowa and passed away at Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 15, 1965, following an illness of a month. His age at the time of passing was 47 years, eight months and five days.

He was married to Margaret Strauch of Elgin at the Methodist Church in Elgin on June 23, 1939. To this union were born three children, Roger of Postville, Harry of Provo, Utah and Marsha at home. They lived at Frankville where Mr. Waters was engaged in farming for 26 years. He spent his entire life in this area.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Stella Waters, and by one brother who passed away in infancy. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Roger and Harry; one daughter, Marsha; three granddaughters, Sherry, Sheilia and Lee Ann Waters; his father, Fred E. Waters of Postville; and many other relatives and friends.

He was a member of the Frankville Church all his life being baptized and confirmed there. He served on the board of trustees and was at the present time an elder in the church. He was also a member of Brotherly Love Lodge No. 204, A F. and A. M. of Postville; the BPO Elk's Lodge of Decorah; active member of the Frankville Cheese Factory, serving on the board of directors for many years and acting as president at the time of his death, and was instrumental in helping to build the new cheese factory. The deceased graduated from Postville high school with the class of 1935.

Funeral services were held at the Frankville Church on Tuesday, May 18, with burial in the Frankville cemetery. Mr. Lloyd Sorenson, pastor of the Frankville Church, officiated.
