This community was saddened Saturday afternoon February 14, 1920, when the news was circulated that Harry Waters had passed away at his home east of town after a week's illness from influenza which terminated in bronchial pneumonia.

Harry Lawrence Waters, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. (Belle) Waters, was born on the home farm in Ludlow township September 14, 1894. He was united in marriage to Miss Leora Letchford at West Union, who survives him.

His parents, three sisters, Mrs. John Stock and Florence of Sioux City, Ruby of Ludlow and one brother Fred are also left to cherish his memory.
