George Waters Died Thursday.

George Waters passed away at his home in Union City Township Thursday, March 3, following a long illness. He fractured his hip last July.

He was born July 24, 1860 and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Waters. He lived on the same farm all of his life. He was married to Louise Kurk who preceded him in death three years ago. They were the parents of nine children, who survive, except one daughter, Mrs. Milton Henry who died a few years ago.

Survivors are: Mrs. John Miles and Mrs. Theodore Henry of Waukon, Mrs. Theodore Hoerer of Lansing. Mrs. John Schulte of Harpers Ferry, Mrs. Henry Evenmoe of Dorchester, George of Hanover township and Edward and Leo at home. There are also 28 grandchildren.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Eitzen Evangelical Lutheran church with the Reverend H. Reiners officiating. The pall bearers were six grandsons, Charles, Emmett and Lawrence Henry, Clem Schulte, Floyd and William Waters.
