Mrs. Geo. Waters Dies At Lansing.

Lansing—Mrs. George Waters, 84, died at her home near Mount Hope church on Sunday. She was born in Germany, Aug. 28, 1867 and came to America with her parents, two brothers and a sister when she was 14 years old. She married George Waters 64 years ago and spent all but three years of her married life on the farm where she died. She was a real pioneer mother, raising nine children. A son died in infancy. Her 91-year-old husband survives, six daughters and three sons, Mrs. John Miles, Mrs. Theodore Henry, Mrs. Milton Henry and George Waters of Waukon; Mrs. J. B. Schulte, Harpers Ferry, Mrs. Milton Evenmoe, Spring Grove, Ed and Leo at home and Mrs. Theodore Haerer of Lansing: 39 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services and burial were at Eitzen on Wednesday afternoon.
