Rites Held For Lowell Schroeder

Lowell C. Schroeder, 43, of 1619 Tenth St. N. W., Cedar Rapids, died early Sunday morning, August 21, at a Cedar Rapids hospital. He was a Cedar Rapids resident and employee of Land O' Lakes Dairies for 26 years.

Lowell was born in Postville, Iowa Oct. 18, 1933. He was married to Sharon McSpadden on Aug. 3, 1964 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He served in the Armed Services during the Korean Conflict and was affiliated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church and of the Teamsters and Helpers Local #238.

Surviving in addition to his wife Sharon are a son Todd and daughter Lisa, both at home; four brothers, Norman of Cedar Rapids, Elliot of Calmar, Merlin of Decorah, Dale of Postville, two sisters, Mrs. Harry Tyler and Mrs. Fred Palmquist, both of Postville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Schroeder and a brother Palmer.

Memorial services were conducted at First Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, on Tuesday, Aug. 23 by Dr. George Carlson. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.
