James V. Troendle, 78, died Friday, May 21, 1999, in his home after a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lycurgus. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Lycurgus. Friends may call from 3 to 8 Monday at Hanson Funeral Home, Waukon, where there will be a Scripture service at 3 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Leonette; four daughters, Marilyn Clark, Lorraine Sweeney and Mary Jo Liddiard, all of Waukon, and Jane Siegman of Grandville, Ill., three sons, Dennis, Joe and Leo, all of Waukon; and a sister, Evelyn Manning of Lansing.
