Manchester — Joseph O. Winistorfer, 82, retired farmer of Manchester, Wednesday at University hospital, which he entered May 4 after a critical illness of two months; funeral Saturday at 2:30 p. m. at the Methodist church at Silver Creek, 12 miles southwest of Manchester; burial will be made in the church cemetery; body at the Sheely funeral home; son of the late Bernard and Emma, Guggleman Winistorfer, he was born Dec. 8, 1864, at Lansing; came to Manchester with his parents at an early age; married at Earlville, Mar. 26, 1891, to Mary Rainbird; home was always made in this vicinity, and following the death of Mrs. Winistorfer on June 12,. 1931, he made his home with his son. Merle and wife, of Manchester; church affiliation was with the Silver Creek Methodist church; leaves six children: Charles Winistorfer, Troy Mills; William W., Earlville; Loren H., Stratford, Wis; James B., Minneapolis, Minn.; Merle E., Manchester, and Mrs. W. D. Porter, Waynesville, Mo.; 27 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother, John Winistorfer, Earlville; and two sisters, Mrs. Caroline Boyington, Popejoy, and Mrs. Tillie Wendling, Los Angeles, Cal.; was also preceded in death by two sons, John, 19, and one son in infancy; also one daughter, Mrs. Lavina Carson.
