Mrs. Woodruff Dies in Nevada
Graveside funeral services were held at 11:30 a. m. today in Lansing for Mrs. Carrie Kaeppler Woodruff, who died Thursday after a six-weeks illness at the home of her son, J. N. Woodruff, in Nevada. She was 84.
Mrs. Woodruff was the wife of the late James A. Woodruff, who for many years was associated with agriculture extension service in Ames. Mr. Woodruff died in 1937.
A native of Lansing, Mrs. Woodruff was the daughter of Charles R. and Martina Kaeppler. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Besides her son, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Ted Martens, Lincoln, Nebr., with whom she had recently made her home. There are four grandchildren.Ames Daily Tribune October 16, 1953
