Angella M. Regan, 77, died Monday, March 4, 2002, in Veterans Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, St. Mary's Lycurgus Catholic Church, rural Waukon, by Father Daniel Knipper. Burial: church cemetery. Friends may call from 2:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Martin Funeral Home, Waukon, where a wake prayer service begins at 2:30 p.m.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Henning of Postville and Rosella Piggott and Joan Anderson, both of Waukon; seven sons, Michael, Dennis, Frank and Matt, all of Waukon, and Bill Jr., Ron and Charles, all of Lansing; two sisters, Marge Wiltgen and Jeannette McCormick, both of Waukon, and three brothers, Norbert Schulte of New Albin, Greg Schulte of Cedr Rapids and Lloyd Schulte of Waukon.

Funeral services for Angella M. Regan, age 77, of Waukon, Iowa were held Thursday, March 7, 2002 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Lycurgus Catholic Church in rural Waukon, Iowa. Father Daniel Knipper officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Martin Funeral Home in Waukon, Iowa assisted the family with funeral arrangements. Casketbearers were her grandchildren Michael Regan, Jr., D.J. Regan, Dane Regan, Mitch Regan, Brian Regan, Mark Henning, Justin Piggott, and Michael Anderson. Her honorary casketbearers were her grandchildren Maury Regan, Bob Regan, Paul Regan, Danny Regan, Darren Regan, Sean Regan, Chase Regan, Andrew Regan, Sheri Regan, Lisa Regan, Angela Regan, Amber Regan, Mattison Regan, Taylor Regan, Jamie Piggott, Stacia Piggott, Todd Henning, Matt Henning, Kelly Henning, Kala Henning, Ashley Anderson, Frannie Decker, Trisha Shelton, Dana Einck, Denise Schmitt, and Shelly Elliott.Angella Mary, daughter of John C.and Ella (Connor) Schulte. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester, Iowa. She attended rural Dorchester area schools. Following school, she worked in the homes of several Dorchester area families. On May 9, 1944, Angella married William M. "Bill" Regan at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dorchester. Angella and Bill farmed together in the Lycurgus area for many years before moving to Waukon in 1990. Angella was very active in the farming operation, as well as with raising their family of 10 children.
Angella was an active member of St. Mary's Lycurgus Catholic Church and its Rosary Society. She also was past secretary of the Iowa Holstein Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Merry Mixers and Flutterwheels square dance clubs. Angella liked to dance and crochet. She was well known for her baking and cooking. She often prepared for large numbers of people at mealtime. Angella enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her whole family. She loved her home and worked hard to make it a welcoming gathering place for all her family and friends.
Angella M. Regan died Monday, March 4, 2002 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William, 2 brothers, John Schulte and Cletus Schulte and an older sister who died in infancy.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Mary (Darrell) Henning of Postville, Iowa, Rosella (Greg) Piggott and Joan (Scott) Anderson, both of Waukon, Iowa, 7 sons: Michael (Joyce) Regan, Dennis (Betty) Regan, Frank (Mary) Regan, and Matt (Jane) Regan, all of Waukon, Iowa, and William "Bill" (Karen) Regan, Jr., Ron (Mary) Regan, and Charles (Jane) Regan, all of Lansing, Iowa; 34 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marge Wiltgen and Jeanette (John Joe) McCormick, both of Waukon, Iowa and 3 brothers, Norbert (Rita) Schulte of New Albin, Iowa, Greg (Jean) Schulte of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Lloyd (Ruth Ann) Schulte of Waukon, Iowa; and 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Theresa Schulte of Caledonia, Minnesota and Marlys Schulte of Decorah, Iowa.
