Kathryn Zoll Dies In Waukon
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frederick Heles officiated at last rites for Kathryn Ann Zoll, 85, Waukon. Saturday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church, Waukon, Burial was in Mount Olivet cemetery, Waukon.
Casket bearers were Clair Welch, Richard Welch, Vivian Zoll, Donald Zoll, Jerry Welsh and Mark Byrnes, nephews of the deceased. She died Thursday, Dec. 15 at Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital.
She was born in Union City township, Allamakee county, March 22, 1892, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Waters. She married Victor Zoll, June 6, 1916 in Dorchester. She was a resident of Waukon, living the past seven years at Northgate Manor.
Surviving are children; Dorothy Murphy of Dubuque, William Zoll of Waukon, Ralph Zoll of Bayfield, CO, Ray Zoll of New Albin, George Zoll of Des Moines and Mary Alyce Foster of Dubuque; sisters Mrs. Thomas Welch of Waukon and Mrs. Thomas Mahoney of Dubuque, 12 grandchildren, five step-children, five great grand-children and nine great stepchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, a daughter who died at birth, a brother John and sister Mary Murphy.
