Funeral services were held Monday, December 2 at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's Catholic Church here for Mrs. Francis Zoll, who died Novermer 30 in Waukon after an illness of about ten years duration.
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frederic Heles officiated, and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Bakke and Hanson was in charge of arrangements. Jim Danaher, Maurice O'Regan, Joe Bresnahan, Ambrose Link, Bob Curtin and Bill Dixon were casket bearers.
Mary Fahey was born June 20, 1903 in Waukon. Her parents were Joe and Catherine Fahey. She attended the rural schools of Allamakee county, St. Patrick's school and graduated from Waukon high school in 1922. In 1923 she and Francis Zoll were married in St. Patrick's in Waukon. He survives, as does one son Donald of Grinnell and daughter Dona, Mrs. Tom Danaher, Ankeny. There are eight grandchildren. The Zoll's lived in Waukon and in Cedar Rapids for 12 years before returning to Waukon in 1965.
Survivors include seven brothers and sisters: Jim, John and Emmett of Waukon; Leo of Mobile, Alabama; Mrs. Clarence (Lunila) Haas and Mrs. Tom (Florance) O'Malley of Waukon, and Mrs Alvin (Stella) Johnson of Decorah. A brother Joe and (unreadable) Schwartzhoff, are deceased.
