JAMES MATTHEW KELLAR 1950-1994

James Kellar

James Matthew Kellar, son of Lloyd and Madonna Kellar, was born December 20, 1950 at Winterset, Iowa. He died September 3, 1994 at his home in Mt. View, California. He had been suffering from leukemia for several months. He was 44 years old.

James was baptized at St. John's Church in Winterset. He attended school in Ocheyedan and Melvin. He married Janet Lehman on July 4, 1970.

He was drafted into the army in 1970. He was an experience horseman and was a lineotype operator at the Heron Lake News. He had been a night auditor for several motel in the Mt. View area for several years.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Jerry, and his grandparents. He is survived by one son, Matthew, of St. Paul, Minn., two daughters, Jennifer and Carrie of Worthington, Minn.; his mother and stepfather, Madonna and Clarence Storla of Postville; one sister and her husband, Rose and Henry Meester of Fairmont, Minn.; a brother and his wife, Dennis and Bonnie Kellar of Ocheyedan; a stepsister and her husband, Janet and Steven Blom of Janesville, a stepbrother and his wife, Richard and Patsy Storla of Atlanta, Ga; eight nieces and six nephews.

A memorial will be held at Mt. View and the remains will be inurned at a later date.
