Dolores Elaine Kamp

Funeral services for Mrs. Duane Kamp, 69, were held Saturday, September 28, 1991, at 2:00 p.m. in St. John Lutheran Church, Luana, IA. The Rev. Red Ager officiated. Organist was Helmuth Landt. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery.

Casket bearers were Bill Traetow, Don McShane, Howard Herschinger, Mike Kamp, Don Kamp, John Barney and Scott Randall.

Dolores Elaine Kamp, daughter of Jasper and Gladys (Lockwood) Seaton, was born February 24, 1922, at Cedar Rapids, IA. She attended various schools and graduated from the Decorah High School in 1939.

On March 5, 1940 she was married to Eugene Henry Torson in the Little Brown Church at Nashua, IA. They had five daughters, Dianna, Francis, Marilyn, Linda and Kristy.

On April 4, 1969, Dolores was married to Duane Kamp at Manchester, IA. She was employed by the Ertl Toy Manufacturing Company at Dyersville, IA for seven years. Dolores also was the bookkeeper for the Overhead Door Company of Luana and Dubuque for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Luana and the Women of ELCA.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bradley and Charles.

Surviving are her husband, Duane, five daughters, Dianna Torson, Mission, SD; Francis and husband, Dennis Allsup, Volga, IA; Marilyn and husband, Bob Olsen, Ogden UT; Linda and husband, Scott Ortberg, Fort Worth, TX and Kristy and husband, Dwight Stapher of Volga, IA; five stepsons, Duane (Ed) and wife, Wanda, Cambridge, IA, James Kamp, Des Moines, IA; Thomas and wife, Judy, Knoxville, IA; Daryl and his fiancee, Diane, Farley, IA and Randy and wife, DeLynn, of Osage, IA; one stepdaughter, Janice and husband, Ned Pearson, Knoxville, IA; 12 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three brother, Norman Seaton and wife, Peggy, Springville, UT; Leonard Seaton and wife, Frieda, St. Paul, MN and Jack Seaton of New York City.
