Waukon- Funeral services for Mrs. John Lier, 75, who died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harvey Ebner, in Waukon, were held Saturday in the Old West Paint Creek church and burial was in the church cemetery.

Born Clara Haroldson in Norway May 22, 1874, she came to Center township with her parents when she was two years old. Later the family moved to Lansing. Following her father's death when she was seven, Mrs. Lier became a member of the Ole Volden household in Center township. She married John Lier Feb. 28, 1893, and the couple then farmed in Makee township until 1943, when they moved to Waukon.

She is survived by her husband, who is 83; five daughters, Mrs. Ebner, Mrs. Eilert Ellefson, Waterville, Mrs. Harold Hurm and Mrs. Frank Keller, both of Lansing, and Mrs. Carl Lindstrom, Minneapolis; and a son, Joseph Klein, Waterville.
