Lansing- Ferdiand Gruber, 83, died early Saturday at his home in Lansing township.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Gruber and was born in Lansing township Jan. 22, 1867. His first wife was the former Elizabeth Troendle, whom he married Feb. 5, 1895. Following her death in March, 1923, he married Mrs. Anna Miller in March of 192_ (Looks like a 5,6 or 8). She died Dec. _ (Single digit.), 1949.

He is survived by four sons, Adolph and Harvey, both of Lansing, Clarence, St. Paul, and Freeman, Carroll, Ia.; two daughters, Mrs. Irene Kerndt, Lansing, and Mrs. Alvina Hector, Amery, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Ista, Lansing, and Mrs. Hulda Helming, San Diego, Calif. Three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services have not been arranged.
