Lansing, Ia., Jan. 15 - The body of Cyrus A. Strong, whose death occurred at Kansas City, arrived in Lansing on Monday where funeral services were held on Tuesday, the Rev. H.J. Noeding of the Federated church officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.

Mr. Strong, who was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Strong, was born near Logansport, Ind., July 17, 1846. When a young man he came to Allamakee county, making his home near Lansing, since where he was engaged in fishing and trapping.

He was twice married, his first wife living but a short while. On Dec. 23, 1883, at DeSoto, Wis., he was married to Miss Mary Horne, who preceded him in death in 1927.

Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Ada Hayford, Lansing; Mrs. Lucy Crowfoot, Minneapolis; Mrs. Grace Hayford, Mrs. Nettie Mortenson, Poola, Kas., and Mrs. Eva Smith, Bellevue, Ia.; also a step-daughter, Mrs. Anna Wheeler, Waterloo. Surviving also is one sister, Mrs. J.W. Cassidy, Lansing; three brothers, Henry, La Crosse; Jesse, Lansing, and Harvey, of Arizona.

Casket bearers were Ray Alexandria, Leo Verdon, George Aschom, Emmet Blanchard, Harry Martinson and Edward Prince.

Notes: There are several items in this obit that are in conflict with the gravestone for Mr. Strong in Oak Hill cemetery. The inscription on the stone:
