New Albin, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. John Kroack, 83, who died Tuesday at her home, following several weeks' illness, were held Thursday morning at St. Joseph's Church, with the Rev. L. Hayes, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery west of town.
As Louisa Brenner, she was born Oct. 28, 1861, in Freeburg, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ludwig Brenner. On April 28, 1885, she was married to John Kroack, and they established their home in New Albin, where Mr. Kroack died four years ago.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Alex Woods, Sr., of Prairie du Chien, Wis., Mrs. Mary Steele and Miss Delila, of New Albin; two sons, Edward, of Waukon and John of New Albin; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Kroack, of Reno, Minn., and Mrs. Lena Limppert, of La Crosse, Wis., and one brother, Martin Brenner, of Worthing, S.D. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
