Rites Held For Mrs. Anderson

Funeral services were held Saturday at Worthington, Minnesota for Mrs. Ida Anderson, 82, who passed away at her home in Worthington on Tuesday, July 24.

Mrs. Ida Anderson passed away at her home in Worthington, Minnesota Tuesday, July 24, 1956 and was 82 years of age.

Ida Christine Saxon was born to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Saxon on November 25, 1873 in Indian Lake township, Worthington. Her parents were numbered among the first pioneers who settled in this community after migrating from Village Creek, Iowa.

She was married to Samuel Anderson on September 18, 1902 and shortly afterwards moved to Iowa where they farmed until the death of her husband July 4, 1938.

She returned to Worthington in 1942, and lived here the remainder of her life. She was an active member of the Indian Lake Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Theodore and his wife; also a grandson, Richard, all of Postville; two brothers, Charles and Walter Saxon of Worthington, Minnesota. She also leaves to mourn her passing a great number of friends.

Those from a distance attending the funeral were: Charles Saxon, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Saxon, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Saxon, Mr. and Mrs. Marvel Saxon and Mrs. Alice Saxon, all from Worthington, Minnesota.
