Services for Catherine Jeglum

Services for Catherine W. Jeglum, 82, were held Tuesday, March 11 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist church in Waukon, with the Rev. Dean Shelly officiating. She died Saturday, March 8 in LaCrosse Lutheran hospital.

She was born Nov. 3, 1903 to Thomas A. and Mary Ann (Sullivan) Warren in Monroe, WI. She was a graduate of Lansing high school and attended Upper Iowa university in Fayette. She married LeRoy Jeglum Oct. 10, 1931 at the Little Brown church in Nashua. She was a homemaker, farm wife, and teacher.

A lifetime area resident, she was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist church, United Methodist Women and Lillian circle of Old East Paint Creek church. She was also a member of the senior citizen club of Waterville, a Northgate Care center volunteer, and had served in the Retired Senior Volunteer program.

Surviviors include a sister Mrs. Alice Thornton of Forsyth, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother Thomas, and four sisters Mame, Marguerite, Helen and Elizabeth.

Burial was in Old East Paint Creek Lutheran cemetery with Martin's funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Casket bearers were Boyd Jeglum, Gene Leiran, Norman Rema, James Rathbun, Ron Kline and William Campbell.

Honarary pallbearers were Daniel Shafer, Gary Volz, Robert Houseman, Walter Moe, L. Atkin Moe, John Rema, Lester Marlow, Melvin Anderson, Ronald Thornton, Richard Clayton, Richard Warren, Marvin Moe, Boyd Groezinger, Paul Ferring, Alvin Thompson and Lester Thomson.
