Last Rites for LeRoy Jeglum
Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 8 from Old East Paint Creek Lutheran church for LeRoy Jeglum, 75, Waterville area farmer who died Thursday, Sept. 6 in Waukon Veterans Memorial hospital.
The Rev. E.O. Baalson officiated and interment was in the church cemetery. Melvin Anderson, Leonard Hagen, H.B. Olson, Alfred Anderson, Oliver Teslow and Robert S. Anderson were pallbearers. Martin funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Jeglum was born Nov. 2, 1897 in Allamakee county and was a son of Gilbert and Julia Rema Jeglum. He attended the local schools and also junior college in Forest City.
Oct. 10, 1931 he married Catherine Warren in Nashua. She survives, as do a brother, James Jeglum of Waterville and three sisters, Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Hausman of Waukon, Mrs. Theodore (Grace) Anderson of Postville and Mrs. Inez Volz of LaCrosse, Wis. A sister Olga preceded him in death.
Mr. Jeglum was a member of Old East Paint Creek Lutheran church, and was a lifetime resident of Allamakee county.
