Elizabeth Garin Service is Held;

Veteran Teacher

The funeral of Elizabeth G. Garin, 71 who passed away at the family home Sunday afternoon following a long illness was held from the O'Connor funeral chapel at 9'oclock Wednesday morning & at St. Ann's cathedral at 9:15, when holy mass was celebrated. Burial was in the family plot in the Calvary cemetery. The deceased was born at Harpers Ferry, Ia. Nov.1864. She was educated & taught school there for some time. In 1893 she came to Montana & taught in the local schools for 22 years, retiring in 1919. She is survived by 5 sisters:Mrs. Mary Dugan, Sacramento, Calif; Mrs. Anna Jenkins, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Agnes Hubbard, Miss Bertha Garin & Mrs. Josephine Klose & 1 nephew, Albert Klose, all of this city; two brothers, P.H. Garin of Seattle, who arrived to attend the funeral, & J.J. Garin of Superior, Wis. A sister-in-law-, Mrs. Elizabeth Garin lives in Harpers Ferry, Ia.
She was a member of St. Ann's Altar society & the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. Members of both organizations attended the funeral.
