Otto Kosbau Died Thursday At Good Sam

Otto A. Kosbau, 86, Waukon, died Thursday Oct. 9 at the Good Samaritan center.

Born Dec. 26, 1893 in Waukon, he was the son of August and Anna Kropfgantz Kosbau. He attended local schools, was a farmer and a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He and Esther Hansmeier were married May 9, 1917 in Waukon. She died Nov. 30, 1979.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Doloris) Beckman of Prior Lake, MN and a brother, Clarence of Rochester (MN). He was predeceased by two sons, Donald and Kleo, brothers Ed, George, and Albert and a sister, Selma.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion church with Rev. Henry Heinbuch officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery. Pallbearers were Carl Brandsmeier, Bob Promnitz, Willard Goeke, Robert Fiet, Kenneth Hall and Milton Schneider.

Martin funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
