Decorah, Ia. - Funeral services were held here Wednesday from the Olson-Iverson Funeral Home for Mrs. Marie Moe, 65, to St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon. The Rev. P.F. Kjorlaug, pastor, officiated and burial was in the Lutheran Cemetery there. Mrs. Moe died suddenly Sunday of a heart attack at her farm home.

She was the former Marie Borseth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erick Borseth, and was born in Christiansand, Norway, July 2, 1877. She immigrated with her mother and brother, Ed Borseth, 60 years ago, her father having immigrated the previous year. They located first in Calmar, later moving to Waukon.

In 1899 she married James Moe, who died June 18, 1939. Mrs. Moe then moved to a farm in this vicinity.

She is survived by eight children: Mrs. Myrtle White of Monona; Jesley of Fergus Falls; Melvin and Selmar, both of Waukon; Bertram of Bremerton, Wash.; Earl of Decorah; Mrs. Christianson of Lansing; and Lloyd of Dubuque; and four brothers and three sisters, Emil Borseth of Cresco; Clarence, Martin, Carl, Mrs. Evan Peterson, Mrs. M.O. Haga and Mrs. Simon Stevens, all of Decorah; and Ludwig of Waukon. Another brother died in June, 1937.
