Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Mrs. James Markley, 77, were tentatively set Tuesday for Wednesday afternoon at the Baptist Church with the Rev. LD. Eaton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Mrs. Markley died Monday at her home here following a short illness.
As Millie Hewitt, she was born Nov. 2, 1865, at Lansing, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hewitt. Following her marriage here Jan. 1, 1899, to Mr. Markley, the home was made in Waukon.
Surviving are her husband; three children, Earl, of Waukon; Mrs. M.T. Vaile, of Waukegan, Ill., and Edgar, of Chicago; four grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Adams, of Lamont, and Miss Lida Hewitt, of Vinton.
