Waukon, Ia. - Frank H. Klees, 72, executive vice president of the Waukon State Bank for the past 25 years, died at his home Thursday following a stroke suffered a week ago.

Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Flank Klees, 70, well known Waukon business man and bank official, who died at his home Thursday morning following a week's illness, were held Saturday afternoon at the First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. August Grossheim, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
Casketbearers were S.W. Ludeking, G.W. Eaton, C.H. Megorden, Elmer Fogt, W.C. Kiesau, and Leo Semak, all of the Waukon State Bank. Stores were closed during the services.
Mr. Klees was born at Rossville, Ia., on Feb. 19, 1874, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Klees, early settlers there. He attended Waukon Business College and the State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, Ia. On Oct 10, 1902, he was married here to Miss Gem White, who survives. He was the last member of the Klees family.
Mr. Klees taught school and later was associated with the late Bert Kenkle in the hardware business for some years. He served as county recorder for two years and was reelected for a second term but resigned in 1919 to enter the Waukon State Bank as assistant cashier. In January he was promoted from vice president to executive vice president.
He was a member of the Allamakee County Bankers Association, whose members attended the funeral.
