Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Lyman Woolstrum, who died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Emmet J. Mahoney, after an illness of five months, were held Saturday morning at St. Patrick's Church, with the Rev. Ernest J. McDonald, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Mr. Woolstrum was born in New York State, June 22, 1865, and when he was two years old came with his parents to Allamakee county where they settled on a farm in Waterloo Township.

He was married to Mary Lyons Feb. 16, 1895, and they resided on a farm near Dorchester until 1935 when the family moved to Waukon.

He is survived by his widow and one son, Leo, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Emmet Mahoney, of French Creek Township; Mrs. Forrest Ryan, Hanover Township; and Mrs. J.B. Schwarzhoff, of Dubuque; nine grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Other survivors are a brother, Charles Woolstrum, of Erie, Pa.; and two sisters, Mrs. Zelpha Humes, of Erie, Pa.; and Mrs. Phoebe Baugher, of Tampa, Fla.
