Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. John the Baptist Church at West Ridge for Mrs. Hannah Hogan, 79, lifelong resident of Allamakee County, who died here Sunday following a year's illness.

The requiem mass was celebrated by the pastor, the Rev. Michael J. Brogan, and burial was in the family lot in the nearby cemetery. Pallbearers were: John McMorrow, Joseph O'Neill, James Duffy, William Killpatrick, Ben Onsager, and John O'Brien.

As Hannah Riley, she was born Nov. 8, 1860 on a farm in Union Prairie Township, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Riley. Following completion of her education, she taught school in South Dakota for several years. In 1905 she was married to John Hogan and they farmed in Union Prairie Township. He died about 15 years ago.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. John Reed of Faith, S.D.
