Waukon, Ia. - Funeral services for Frederick William Kostman, 84, were held here Wednesday afternoon at the Martin Bros. Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Frank E. Stucki, pastor of Zion Reformed Church. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. Mr. Kostman died Sunday at his home here following a long illness.

He was born June 26, 1858 in Germany, a son of Mr. and Mrs. F.W. Kostman. He came to America in 1884, settling on a farm in Allamakee County. On Dec. 6, 1890 he married Helena Reutkemeier, who survives with six children: Elmer of Waukon, John, Paul and Mrs. Ben Shafer, all of Ludlow Township; William of Lansing, and Mrs. Walter Rolfs of Decorah; and 25 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
